G2.5 will bring together participants from 18 countries
Meeting G2 – Building Business Bridges will be held from November 4th till November 6th, 2019 at the Forum Zagreb Convention Center, with the participation of more than 70 successful business people of Croatian descent from abroad.
The conference will be attended by more than 70 business people from Argentina, Australia, Austria, Bolivia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Finland, Canada, Hungary, Macedonia, Monaco, Netherlands, Germany, United States of America, Slovenia, Switzerland, United Kingdom and Venezuela, mainly from the logistics, food, real estate, healthcare, finance, construction and IT sectors.
In addition to investing in Croatia, this is also an opportunity for Croatian companies and entrepreneurs to connect with companies from other parts of the world, thus expanding their business.
On Monday, November 4th, the first day of the program, there will be a presentation of five successful Croatian franchises, followed by pitch sessions for startups who decided to build their future in Croatia, followed by a part of the program that offers all participants the opportunity to briefly present themselves and exchange contacts with other participants.
Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic, senior sponsor of the event, will inaugurate the Conference on Tuesday (November 5th) and address the participants to reiterate the importance of connecting Croats from their homeland and emigration.
On Tuesday, November 5th, the second day of the program, five-panel discussions will be attended by more than 30 participants, well-known Croatian businessmen from home and abroad, as well as representatives of state and local institutions.
From the representatives of Croatian fashion brands, participants of the Conference will learn how Croatian designers have managed to market their products and later have the opportunity to watch a mini fashion show. The current state of the Croatian IT industry will also be discussed and what can be done to become more successful. Several successful Croatian exporters will reveal to the participants what is responsible for their business success and offer their insights – how to create new markets for Croatian products and services.
A panel of successful business integration between Canada and Croatia will also be held, with Joe Bašić, President of the Canadian-Croatian Business Network, presenting its work. The panel on the experiences of the Croats working in Austria will be attended by Niko Ilić, president of the Association of Croatian Entrepreneurs in Austria, who will introduce the participants to the organization and goals of the Association.
Between the panels, inspirational business stories will be told by Marko Buzolić (Blue Lagoon), Vlado Lendvaj (Croatian IT Association), and Hrvoje Bušić and Tomislav Anadolac (Old Pilot’s Gin). The rich program will be completed by short lectures by prof. Božo Skoko on the topic of developing the identity and brand of the Republic of Croatia, and lobbyist Natko Vlahović on the importance of Croatia’s recent EU accession.
