Branding of the nation as the central theme of probably the best conference in Croatia in the last two decades

The fifth Branding Croatia Conference for is held in Zagreb at the end of this week, with the slogan “because no one has ever created, built or conceived something useful with pessimism.”

The official opening is Friday, 8.11. at 9:30 am, at the Multimedia Hall of the Croatian Heritage Foundation in Zagreb, Stjepan Radić Square 3. II. floor.

The Branding of Croatia Conference is an annual event dedicated to public, cultural and scientific diplomacy, and is held under the high auspices of the President of the Republic, with the support of the Central Office for Croats Outside the Republic of Croatia, Croatian Heritage Foundation, Croatian Chamber of Commerce and Croatia2Go. You can only register for the conference by emailing: Branding.Hrvatske@gmail.com (you need to send your first name, last name and a few sentences about yourself). Since many famous and successful Croats have already attended this conference, from Mate Rimac, Dr. Davor Pavuna, Mirko Novosel, Ćiro Blažević and Martina Filjak, to Davor Bruketa, Boris Ljubičić, Ana Bauer, Dr. Miroslav Vrankić and others – it is certain that interest will be high this year as well, especially considering this year’s roster of lecturers.

First of all, we should point out the legendary Nikola Pilić, the only tennis coach in the world who won three times Davis Cup, with three different national teams, and a key “culprit” for the global tennis success of Becker, Ivanišević, Đoković … It is also quite interesting to mention that Pilić rarely shows up at events like this, so who knows when we will be able to see him again and shake his hand.

Our celebrated doctor, surgeon, writer, and honorary consul of the Republic of Croatia in Italy, Dr. Nela Sršen does not need to be particularly introduced, just like the Croatian-American musician, lobbyist and peace activist Nenad Bach, who has performed with Pavarotti, Cohen, Springsteen, and Bono Vox, and at a time when Croatia really needed it the most, contributed immeasurably to our country’s reputation in the world.

Also, we have to mention Dr. Mladen Andrlić, longtime Director of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia and current Ambassador in Budapest; and successful young architect Bruno Jurčić, a returnee from the United States who recently represented Croatia at the Venice Biennale, and in addition to having offices in Pula and Shanghai, was is also the author of Infobip’s corporate masterpiece in Vodnjan, the first IT Campus in the Republic of Croatia.

Other lecturers who will attend the Conference: Marina Drašković (“Pride of Croatia 2017”), Mirko Boch (Director of the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra), the most famous Croatian influencer on social media Ella Dvornik, fashion entrepreneur Iva Tuđa, and Petar Ćurić as the initiator and leader of the project.

The specialty of this conference is the legendary “panels”, or to be precise, the discussions in the form of round tables. This year, you can expect surprise guests, probably celebrities from the world of media, politics, culture, sports or public life along with the announced lecturers.

»We are pleased that Branding Croatia is recognized as a project of national importance for the Republic of Croatia. The media has also referred to us as the ‘best conference in Croatia in the last 20 years’, which we appreciate, but I think the secret of our success is that we try not to divide Croatian society, but to connect it. This is a good, constructive and non-political initiative, “said the conference director, Petar Ćurić.
