Croatia is Gay-Friendly

Croatia is Gay-Friendly!

With certainty, we can say that we are gay-friendly because the list of clubs and bars is growing, and there are also printed guides with the list of all gay-friendly sites as useful guidelines. Croatia bans all discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression. An important point to mention is that since 2002. Zagreb has Zagreb Pride, and there is also Split Pride. It celebrates LGBT culture and pride, and in like many cities across the world it is organized in memory of the Stonewall riots that are considered the beginning of the current LGBT movement in the world. The Atmosphere at Pride is positive, emotional, the response is more than satisfying, and people of all sexual orientations are carrying rainbow flags while marching through the cities. This year’s Zagreb Pride will be on June 10th so if you are planning to visit Zagreb soon, make sure to put this massive manifestation on your „what to see“ list or even participate! You will not regret it!
