Princess Sraketa, Prince Fašnik, Judge Mitoman, and Fiskal Mutiman – sounds interesting? These characters from Srakostrip have come to life to proclaim the Free Carnival Republic of Samobor in the Square of Carnival Greats!
Samobor Carnival is the oldest and largest carnival event in continental Croatia, and this year it is held under the motto “From fools to superheroes”. This tourist-entertaining madness and joy is the most important event for the small town of Samobor, as it nourishes a tradition of almost 200 years.
Superb masquerade entertainment for all generations, great atmosphere, rich gastronomical offers along with unbeatable donuts, as well as concerts by domestic music stars, are just some of the reasons why coming to the town of masqueraders from February 14th to the 25th is worth the drive.
In addition to great fun, this year’s motive for dressing up are the awards for the best, the most imaginative and the most creative costumes. Prepare your costumes, come to Samobor and remember that “fools go crazy every day, but the smart only for the carnival”!
