The 6th edition of the Zagreb Festival of Lights<\/a>, organized by the Zagreb Tourist Board (TZGZ) and partners with the support of the City of Zagreb, was opened yesterday and will attract visitors until March 24th in Croatia\u2019s capital. Over five days, visitors will have the chance to explore 29 attractions spread across 24 locations, marking the onset of warmer and longer days while offering a unique way to rediscover the city.<\/p>\n

Martina Bienenfeld, the director of TZGZ,<\/a> emphasized that the festival, ongoing since 2017, is more than just an event\u2014it\u2019s an opportunity to discover new facets of the city featured in this year\u2019s program and to forge connections with other cities and countries. With an international character, the festival has collaborated with artists from Austria, France, Germany, Slovakia, and Spain, featuring Croatian guest appearances from Pula and \u0160ibenik. This year\u2019s festival showcases mesmerizing light installations and advocates for nature conservation and sustainability in partnership with WWF Adria. The festival emphasizes the symbiotic relationship between Earth and its inhabitants and underscores the importance of sustainability and nature preservation.<\/p>\n

TZGZ continues its tradition of conducting online and offline campaigns, targeting markets such as Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, France, Italy, Hungary, the Netherlands, Germany, Scandinavia, Slovenia, Serbia, and the United Kingdom. Promotional displays are also featured at Zagreb\u2019s Franjo Tu\u0111man Airport. Notably, the Zagreb Festival of Lights has gained global recognition by being included in the Festival of Lights International since its inception in 2017, alongside renowned cities like Berlin and New York.<\/p>\n

The opening program, featuring 3D mapping, is scheduled for Wednesday, March 20th, at 7:00 pm at the premiere location, Marko Maruli\u0107 Square, in collaboration with WWF Adria and artists from Austria, France, and Germany. Following tradition, the festival will run daily from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm, with free admission to all programs.
