Sandi Chiavalon, fond of his childhood, reminisces, “Until 1997, we cultivated a mere 50 olive trees<\/a>, some of which were as old as 300 to 400 years. No one was left to tend to our beloved olive grove when my grandfather fell ill. While my peers busied themselves with collecting football cards and riding bicycles, I embarked on a rather different hobby.” Sandi’s olive tree adventure blossomed out of pure love for tradition. Although challenging at the outset, his brother Tedi and their mother soon recognized his passion for olive trees. Gradually, what began as a hobby transformed into a thriving family business.<\/p>\n

The Best of the Best: Chiavalon’s Organic Label Oil<\/h3>\n

The journey towards achieving excellence in olive oil production is not easy. Olive trees take a considerable amount of time to bear fruit. Today, after many years of hard work, the Chiavalon family can reap the rewards of their efforts. Their estate now boasts over 9,500 olive trees, predominantly featuring indigenous olive varieties. Additionally, they have partnered with several cultivators who tend to an additional 9,000 trees. Notably, their entire production process is conducted under certified ecological supervision. Chiavalon prides itself on bearing the Organic Label and the Protected Designation of Origin, ensuring their extra virgin olive oil is 100% organic and exclusively sourced from the enchanting region of Istria.<\/p>\n
