Is a business in Croatia the entrepreneurial journey or just the hard work?
This time Jonathan Cooper and Ben Croft will be joining us as entrepreneurs and his Excellency Ambassador W. Robert Kohorst will be sharing his rich entrepreneurial journey before he became a diplomat, and might even suggest some interesting and very possible improvement for the business in Croatia, in general.
Jonathan has been living primarily in Croatia since 1997. The first 12 years of his career he worked in the private equity and M&A fields, where he led investments into companies like Iskon Internet, DCM cable TV (now A1), and Dok ING d.o.o. As an M&A advisor, he advised the owners of companies like Moj Posao, Oktal Parma, and MegaKlik in their sales to strategic investors. He was also a co-founder of the Croatian Angel Network (CRANE). Later, Jonathan began focusing more on entrepreneurial Ventures and co-founded KlasikTV and Bright Entertainment, the latter which is franchising the Museum of Illusions concept globally. He is also an investment partner in True Global Ventures, a FinTech investment fund targeting SEED and start-up Fin Tech investment opportunities. In addition to his time living in Croatia, he also lived and worked in Oman and Qatar from 2011 – 2016. Jonathan’s wife is Croatian as are his two boys, and he hopes one day to be able to master Croatian grammar.
