Lika is so beautiful and diverse that it enchants and entices from whichever side you approach it. Lika is a mountain plateau in the southwest of central Croatia, broken down by smaller mountain ranges which, transforming directly into the Adriatic coast, form a rarely seen relief. Most of the area of Lika consists of national parks (Plitvice Lakes, Paklenica, and Northern Velebit) interspersed with Croatian subterranean rivers (Gacka, Lika, Otuča, Krbava, Korenica, and the river Una, which springs in Lika).
