The medieval battle of Samobor

If you are fun of English way traditional fairs with the hommage of old times – then your next Sunday is booked for Samobor medieval festival!

On Sunday, 8th March 2020,  the great tourist attraction, the medieval Battle of Samobor will be held for the 15th time in Vugrinščak Vally in Samobor.

The original battle took place in 1441.

Visitors will have the unique opportunity to see fighting between two armies and the knights, accompanied by the thunder of cannons and flintlocks from two opposing camps.

The event begins in the morning with the opening of the traditional medieval fair where the masters will present their products: hats, baskets, bread, herbs, honey products, wooden swords and shields, knights’ leather equipment and many other medieval objects.

The demonstrations of archery, fencing, and court dancing will also take place.

The battle will be staged in the afternoon with about 400 actors. Among them, there will be around 100 knights in armors.
