Presenting The Advent 2022, the Mayor of the City of Zagreb, Tomislav Tomašević, stated: “It will be a slightly different Advent, which, of course, was developed in cooperation with the Tourist Board of the City of Zagreb. The emphasis is on the quality of entertainment content, whether cultural or musical, the offer of local products and location decorations, different concepts of the food offered, and the transparent selection of partners.
The Ice Park in The King Tomislav Square is also coming back. There are three new locations – Dr. Franje Tuđman Square with a catering offer and the Park Grič and Stara Vlaška street, which will be decorated for Christmas by the Tourist board of the city of Zagreb. We will take special care of ecologically sustainable Advent: disposable, biodegradable packaging will be used, and waste separation points will be set up.”

Martina Bienenfeld, director of TB of the City of Zagreb, told us: “We are especially looking forward to this year’s Advent after two pandemic years. It will lead us to the Christmas holiday mood with more than 100 concerts and occasional exhibitions in museums and galleries.
The Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, the Croatian Chamber of Crafts, and the Zagreb Zoo also prepares special programs, which should also be highlighted. The Tourist board of the City of Zagreb cooperates with Zagreb hotels and domestic and foreign carriers and has started international promotion in 21 markets. Advent Zagreb is one of the most significant events for Zagreb and Croatian tourism. I expect that, as in previous years, it will contribute to the growth of tourist traffic in Zagreb, ” Martina Binenfeld said.
