Three talented ladies author of new street art in Zagreb

The street art scene is richer again in Zagreb, where Rearrange My Pump Association and the Zagreb Tourist Board collaborate on the Street Triptych project.

The Street Triptych project

This time, selected Zagreb street panels were painted by three talented Croatian artists, thus marking the second round of painting a unique “exhibition in change” with a woman’s handwriting.
The project’s central location, the Tourist Board Visitor Center (Trg Bana Jelačića 11), was painted by OKO. The work is called Multiple friendship, saying: “There is that moment in life when we separate from our own family, and before we have our own, then they are our friends all, they are our family. The more colorful friendships we have, the more magical our lives are. This is work for all friends, some past, some future. For all those moments of support, laughter and tears. For all of us.”

The previously painted panel in Radićeva Street (at number 46) was replaced by New Optimism of Zagreb signed by Tea Jurišić: . After a long time, various misfortunes befell the city, people finally gather and get lost in the hustle and bustle. A colorful team flows through the streets like water, and an umbrella protects them all from the weather, problems, and bad mood.”
The third location is located in Opatovina Park. It carries the idea of Sanja Stojković united under the name View through the window into a more beautiful world, about which the artist said: “We all need a little more optimism and happier colors, we just have to learn to look in that direction. The scenography is set in Opatovina. It is up to you to imagine what you can see by looking out the window, and this time on the streets of Zagreb.”

The “exhibition in change”

The exhibition of the Street Triptych will change in cycles – every three months, three new works of art will appear on the panels with the signatures of various authors from all over Croatia. Also, as an additional element of surprise, one of the three locations will be different each time, so from the first round of painting on the steps of the Dolac market, the work of Mislav Lešić under the name Street Rhapsody is still waiting for you. The next painting has been announced for the last quarter of 2021. Until then, you have the opportunity to see this free exhibition in the center of Zagreb every day.
