But, you might not know that all around Zagreb city is Zagreb’s lovely area.
That’s how started the love of all times 🙂
Zagreb is part of its beautiful surroundings and vice versa. Medvednica is Zagreb, and Zagreb is lying on its slopes. Zagreb is in Novi Zagreb, in Maksimir, at Jarun Lake, in Samobor, as well.

Zagreb is all around Zagreb city

This is all about the great and unique campaign; Near the city, close to the heart/Around Zagreb.
If someone teaches you what to do in Zagreb or around, it’s fantastic to stay in Zagreb or the Zagreb area every season.
And someone is doing it!
The Zagreb Tourist Board and the Zagreb County Tourist Board are once again cooperating to promote Zagreb and its surroundings through a unique destination campaign – “Near the city, close to the heart” / “Around Zagreb”.
The entire offer is consolidated on the website www.aroundzagreb.hr , and the information is, for now, available in Croatian, English, German, and Slovenian.

The Staycation in Zagreb is Staylicious

This year’s edition of the campaign brings novelties, presented in more detail by the director of TZGZ, Ms. Martina Bienenfeld: Thus, with a refreshed visual and itineraries, we created a new section, “Did you know,” to point out interesting things from our environment. In addition, there are video recipes of the indigenous cuisine of Zagreb and the surrounding area made by our famous Croatian chef, Mr. Almo Čatlak. He tried to bring local gastronomic delicacies closer and present it to a broader audience, emphasizing the traditional with a slightly modern approach. We are now launching the campaign on Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, and Germany. We will soon expand it through cooperation with Krapina-Zagorje County. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in its implementation. ”

Near the city, close to the heart/Around Zagreb

The cooperation of our two tourist boards resulted in the specific tourist products that our guests can enjoy and brings very concrete results to all stakeholders. It’s a perfect combination of urban and rural, health and cultural tourism, rich outdoor content, and authentic eno-gastro offer to make this destination even more attractive. We extended guests’ stay in both destinations.” the director of TZZŽ, Ms. Ivana Alilović, says on this occasion: “.

Everything is close to Zagreb, and Zagreb is close to everything.

To be remembered; Zagreb is only two hours drive from the nearest seaside, even less to the capital of Slovenia – Ljubljana. Four hours drive from Vienna, Budapest, and Venezia. Plitvice Lakes are half an hour driving from Zagreb. Don’t forget many thermal springs (at least 5) around Zagreb, beautiful medieval castles, great wine tours, the most significant neandertal museum in Europe, and much more…
Zagreb is just a minutes away from Samobor, Velika Gorica, Zaprešić or Karlovac.

Everything is close to Zagreb, and Zagreb is close to everything.
