Featuring Four New Courtyards and a Rich Program

Among these is the quaint and intimate courtyard of the newly opened Oto Reisinger House of Caricature at Radićeva 44a. Then there’s the unique and charming courtyard of the Oršić Palace – Marija Jambrišak Student Dormitory at Opatička 14. The picturesque and intriguing courtyard of the Tituš Brezovački High School, accessible from Jezuitski Square, is another new addition. Joining the Courtyards program is also the spectacular courtyard of the Magdalenić-Drašković-Jelačić Palace at Demetrova 7-9.

In addition to these new courtyards, the event features the courtyards of the Croatian Institute of History (Opatička 10 and the entrance from Radićeva Street), the atrium of Tituš Brezovački High School (where an exhibition commemorating the 10th anniversary of Courtyards will be displayed), and the well-known locations of the Archaeological Garden, the Observatory, and the atrium of the Zagreb City Museum.

The Courtyards have significantly contributed to Zagreb’s identity

For 10 years, Zagreb and the Courtyards have shared a public love affair, epitomized by a frequently cited comment from a visitor back in 2014, feeling like a tourist in her city. The Courtyards have significantly contributed to Zagreb’s identity and are an indispensable part of its cultural and tourist offerings, becoming a recognizable symbol of our city. We gather, socialize, and relax in these urban oases of peace and beauty.

The Courtyards offer enchanting settings and an opportunity for Zagreb residents and visitors to learn about the history of the Upper Town.

Not to be missed is the 10th-anniversary exhibition in the atrium of Tituš Brezovački High School, part of a truly rich program awaiting us from July 12th to 23rd.

The Courtyards once again become the heart of entertainment, socializing, discovery, and live musical performances. Don’t miss the chance to join the numerous visitors who will open the doors of the Upper Town’s palaces and peek into their hidden courtyards, where numerous surprises await! The Courtyards are, as always, free for everyone from “7 to 77” and indeed “from 0 to 100”!
