70 years ago, today’s Art Hotel was conceived as a place for recovery and a health resort. The well-known medicine doctor from Dubrovnik, believed that the pine trees and the aerosol, the sea’s proximity, and being hidden from the public were ideal places for a health resort. Unfortunately, the war left traces on all activities, and that project remained unfinished and later sold. The ‘new’ owners provided their employees with a resort here, and since 1991, the hotel has been neglected.
Today, Art Hotel is newly decorated. The intimate atmosphere and impeccable service represent a perfect place for everyone looking for a peaceful vacation away from the city crowd. The hotel is situated only a 2-minute walk from the most popular beaches hidden under the pine trees and plenty of activities in the area, such as bars, local cuisine restaurants, tennis courts, cinema, playground, shopping center and more. Lapad Bay is excellently connected with the old town of Dubrovnik, which is under UNESCO protection because of its fascinating architecture, walls, museums, streets, churches, and palaces.
