The time machine of Stone
Ston and Pelješac Island are famous for wine, sea salt, oysters and Ston cake, but there is so much more to discover about this town.
Two very interesting cultural tourist projects, which will be presenting the rich heritage of Ston in a completely different way, are starting this May.
The first one is STON UNTOLD, an interactive theatrical tourist tour of the town of Ston.
Intended for visitors who wish to experience the main amenities of Ston in a unique way and meet key figures from its history. Based on historical facts, and focused on the turbulent and exciting period of renaissance, the tour reveals some peculiar stories and legends of Ston not known to many, just as well guarded secrets of its residents through the ages.
Ancient Ston’s poets and playwrights, princes and soldiers, fairies and troubadours, women artists and rebels shed light on every corner and until now untold secrets of the town of Ston.

CUM GRANO SALIS, the multimedia pastoral play, is a second exciting project that will take place in Ston this summer.
Site-specific play which will change your perception of the Kaštio fortress and introduce you to the history, tradition, cultural heritage and artistic works of Ston in a spectacular blend of audio-visual technologies, interactive installations, immersive projections, light show, pyrotechnics, and live performances. An amazing sensory experience which transports you to a dream-like place where time has stopped.
The play features original artists from Ston and the surrounding area, local folklore associations, a capella groups and surprise musical guests.
