The best football player in the world – Luka Modrić!

Luka Modrić is the best football player in the world.     After being selected as the best player at the World Championships and the best at UEFA’s choice, in London, on the Gala Evening, there was the awaited recognition from the FIFA World Football Organization. Captain of the Croatian national team led Croatia this year to silver at the World Football Championship, while also being chosen for the best footballer in the World Club Championship and Real Madrid won the Champions League.

Modric won in the competition of Christiano Ronaldo and Mohammad Salah and thus interrupted the long-standing dominance of Messi and Ronaldo. Modric received 29.05 percent of the votes, while Ronaldo was the second with 19.08 percent of the vote. Modric said his gratitude to everyone in Real and in the national team, who contributed to winning the prize. He especially thanked the Captain of the 1998 Bronze generation of Croatian national team, Zvonimir Boban, and the 1998 generation who said that they were a great inspiration to him and his teammates for silver in Russia.

Luka Modric spoke English and Spanish at the stage, and in the end, everyone in the audience and in front of the TV screen spoke in Croatian: “I would like to say a big salute to my Croatia. What a wonderful summer we had, thank you for the wonderful emotions, I truly enjoyed and thank you for your sincere support.
