It left an imprint because it has important significance and rich history for our nation. The cathedral is dedicated to the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary or the Our Lady, while St. Stephen, king of Hungary, is her second patron. In the treasury, you will have an opportunity to see religious art from the 11th century till the 20th century.

The Tomb of Alojzije Stepinac was renovated in 1997. depicting important moments of his life where many visitors show honor with their arrival and prayers. Cathedral is part of Kaptol and is located near the main square. It is “must-see” in Zagreb and it is breath-taking because of its architecture and size. There are statues in facade and interior in beautiful stained glass windows behind the altar and religious art. It can be seen from all over Zagreb being the tallest monument and if you miss a chance to see it it’s like you’ve not to experience the city to the fullest. This remarkable building is surely cherry on top of Zagreb!

Definitely worth a view!
