The event begins in the morning at the Benedictine Monastery in Dajla. The trail follows the coastline, providing stunning views of Novigrad and guiding walkers through Marede, Kastanija, and Karpinjan. At the end of the adventure, the return to Dajla will be marked by a fun and musical program, offering the perfect conclusion to this unforgettable journey.
Teran Wine & Walk: A Wine Walk Celebrating the Flavors and History of Istria
In the heart of Istria, in the enchanting medieval town of Motovun, wine lovers will again have the opportunity to indulge in a unique experience. Just a week after the previous wine event, on October 5, the third Teran Wine & Walk will take place. This wine walk will offer participants a chance to explore the beauty of Motovun and its surroundings while tasting Teran, an indigenous variety of great importance to this region, along with other award-winning wines such as Malvasia, Muscat, and Cabernet Sauvignon from local winemakers. The walk begins at the impressive Roxanich Winery, where participants embark on a 12-kilometer journey along the old Parenzana railway route. The trail winds through vineyards overlooking the Mirna River Valley, passes by picturesque villages, and ascends to hilltops where refreshment stations offer top-notch wines and local culinary delights. This wine adventure concludes with a return to the Roxanich Winery, where, accompanied by a DJ and additional gourmet offerings, walkers can continue to enjoy the perfect blend of wine, nature, and Istrian tradition.
