It’s tradition to become THE Classic – we adore it!

Every summer, Zagreb offers its residents and visitors many cultural events, beginning with the outstanding Zagreb Classic for all classical music lovers. Over 11 days, at one of Zagreb’s most beautiful squares, King Tomislav Square, works by Croatian and international musicians will be performed by renowned artists who have graced many world stages. All concerts are free, so I invite all Zagrebians to be part of this musical story that, year after year, enhances the promotion and recognition of our city, especially in the cultural domain.

Martina Bienenfeld, director of TZGZ, added, “Zagreb Classic ushers us into summer in the most beautiful way possible, with superb musical classics, ballet performances, film scores, jazz standards, and contemporary works. Among the performers are world-renowned pianist Hyung-ki Joo, Italian virtuoso Mario Stefano Pietrodarchi, soprano Caterina Iora, and local classical music stars. This year introduces a special feature – two days dedicated to the Vienna Music and Film Festival. Visitors will enjoy video projections of famous operas and operettas, such as Mozart’s ‘The Magic Flute’ and Strauss’s ‘The Bat’. Additionally, we invite residents and visitors to attend open rehearsals, enriching the overall experience. Zagreb Classic is a unique invitation to visit the capital and immerse in an unforgettable atmosphere that brings Zagreb’s cultural and musical heritage to life. We welcome everyone to join this musical journey and savor unforgettable moments under the stars.”
