A staycation is a vacation
A staycation for Croatian people means staying in Croatia and getting to know the beauties of their country. Many will revisit Plitvice Lakes this year, some Krka National Park, Brijuni, Pula, Dubrovnik or Zadar… Many will cruise the Adriatic Sea, hike Velebit, visit Paklenica, the Neanderthal Museum, or medieval castles like Trakošćan. Staycation is a stay in Croatia (in our case), but still a vacation. Let’s get to know this year what we didn’t get, could, or knew of before.
Croatia has a lot to show. Croatia, with its islands, bays, beaches competes with many world tourist destinations. Really. Croatian wines deserve our palates. Croatian gastronomy always surprises us. Olive oils are among the most awarded in the world.

It’s time for a Staycation
On his return after many adventurous years wandering in the seas, the famous Odysseus bumped on the island of Mljet and stayed for 7 years. A Staycation 🙂 Italian adventurer and writer Giacomo Casanova visited Vrsar on two occasions (1743 and 1744) and stay for some time. For Love.
Many people choose Croatia for their summer holidays in recent years like Naomi Cambell, Angelina Jolie,One Republic, Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey, Rod Steward, Sly, Brad Pitt, Anne Hathway, and others. With a reason. They read or heard about the beautiful Mediterranean country – Croatia. They decided to visit Plitvice Lakes National Park, Dubrovnik, Hvar, Split, or Zagreb. Some visited Istria, some went on a cruise on the Adriatic Sea, and some enjoyed Croatian wines and food. They will come again!
You know that.
