The Kabola Winery named Destination of the Year

Travel & Hospitality Award is presented each year by an independent jury made up of travel enthusiasts, bloggers, influencers, and tourism experts.
The prestigious international award for 2021 has arrived in one of the most beautiful wineries into winery Kabola in Istria, Croatia.

Kabola winery is well known by lovers of great wines and traditional architecture perfectly blended into beautiful nature Kanedolo near Momjan.
The Markežić family, the Kabola winery owners, are some of the most famous Istrian winemakers. They first started producing wine in Croatia in amphorae and were the first in Istria to switch to organic production.
The award arrived at the most challenging time for global tourism and the wine industry.

“In these challenging times, the award made us especially happy. It is a confirmation that one should not stop even when it is most difficult. Winemaking and tourism are an integral part of our family tradition. Guests come to us from all over the world and enjoy not only our wines but also the ambiance of our estate “, says Marino Markežić.

Currently, only a wine shop is open on the property. Kabola wines can also be ordered through the online store, directly by email or phone. However, the Markežić family can hardly wait to open the doors to guests again and organize wine and olive oil tastings.

Some say that Malvasia is the queen of Croatian wines. Red wine lovers may not agree, but everyone agrees that the award has arrived at the right place.
The croatia2go.com team congratulates looking forward to the Kabola winery and tasting wine and the famous Istrian olive oils.
