Hvar- the island of Sun and Wine

An island that carries the title of the jet-set location but still holds this old Mediterranean soul – it can only be Hvar island. Settled in Middle Dalmatia and turned to the Sun (which makes it the island with the sunniest days in the Adriatic!) Hvar indeed owns everything that a real paradise needs.

The history of Hvar reaches far in the antics and medieval times as a famous harbor, but today it’s a no.1 destination for a perfect vacation. The mild climate throughout the whole year and breathtaking nature, especially the lavender fields which are the unspoken symbol of Hvar, are a combination that many Hollywood A-listers recognized years ago and keep coming back to.

Besides the perfect weather and magical lavender fields, Hvar is also famous for its olive oil and wine so keep that in mind when shopping for souvenirs there. For those keen on gastronomy, Hvar offers a big choice between many family restaurants- konoba, which serve home-cooked seafood from the best ingredients that you can taste. At noon visit some of the beautiful beaches and lounge resorts in places like Jelsa, Zavala, Sućurje, and Pakleni islands then enjoy the nightlife in Stari Grad.
