Ilok Cellars (Iločki podrumi) are guardians of Croatian wine tradition that dates back more than two millennia when it comes to our vineyard appellations Principovac and Vukovo.
The oldest wine in the archives of the Old Cellar of Ilok Cellars in Ilok is Traminer Premium wine from 1974 harvest. Ilok Cellars wine, Traminer Ice Wine from 2007 harvest is on the 19th place in the list of the 100 best wines in the world.
The Old Wine Cellar built-in 1450 is the first originally purpose-built wine cellar in this part of Europe. Iločki podrumi are part of the undiscovered story of the old wine world, thanks to Odescalchi family. They put a striking mark in creating excellent wines, based on the selection of best appellations, noble varieties, new technologies, and original domain filling – bottling on their property in Ilok. Two centuries later, this „so-called Odescalchi model“ became an example followed by other great names in the past and present wine order.
