Eco-Museum “Međimurje malo” has become a symbol of the gastronomic scene’s cultural, historical, natural heritage, and wealth. As a fragmented museum, it shows the essential values of Međimurje and, through interpretation, turns them into an authentic experience.
For the inhabitants of Međimurje County, it serves as a reminder of childhood memories and a model by which history, knowledge, and tradition are transmitted to children and young people. And it provides all tourists and visitors with an intangible souvenir and inspiration for new habits that can easily be incorporated into routines in everyday life.
Eco-Museum “Međimurje malo”
Naturally, the missing link for the destination story itself to be complete is the traffic connection of all the tourist attractions of the Eco-Museum. Positive attitude, creativity, and desire to raise the destination offer to a higher level were the shared visions of the three partners of the project “Bus on the move.”
Terme Sveti Martin provides its guests with a different experience and thus allows other tourist stakeholders to show what they provide in their facilities and estates. With its rich fleet and 30-year tradition, Rudi Express guarantees pleasant, attractive, and safe transport to the destination.
With the resources of its travel agency, it will place all tourist attractions, services, and products as a joint offer, thus supporting the destination development of the region. The Tourist Board of Međimurje County, as the main initiator of the project, provides support in the promotion and creative ideas to facilitate the implementation of a long-term project and the master plan for tourism development in Međimurje County.

The route itself will initially run through the Upper part of Međimurje. The starting point will be in Terme Sveti Martin. The tourist stakeholders-partners will be visited as follows – Skelarska hiža with the story of the mill on the Mura and the interpretation center “One day in the life of miller Franc Žalar,” then the Visitor Center Med dvemi vodami in Križovac, Eko Museum “Međimurje malo” in the Palace of Međimurje Tourism, Hotel Castellum, Treasury of Međimurje, which includes a coffee bar Bedem and restaurant Stari grad, on the way back to the starting point you pass by the picnic area and restaurant Međimurski dvori, winery Cmrečnjak, and the center Štrigova content in its environment.

“Bus on the move”The transport itself will be available to all residents of the region who want to visit one of these attractions and all other tourist stakeholders who have accommodation facilities and want to provide additional content to their guests. The door of cooperation with future interested partners is open, and it is expected that in the coming period, the partners will join and thus enrich the offer on the route of the tourist bus “Bus on the move.”
