Let’s start with Croatia’s geographic settlement. Standing in the middle of several cultural parts of Europe, Croatia illuminates all kinds of influences on a small space. Austro-Hungarian Empire, the Mediterranean sea, Ottoman Empire, and so on…all of these left some kind of trace which shaped the Croatian culture and vision seen these days.
Northern regions of Zagorje and Međimurje reflect peaceful rural life with wonderful historic cities as Čakovec and Varaždin, the Baroque wonderland surrounded with several breathtaking castles.

Eastern parts of magnificent Slavonia with its endless golden wheat fields show a beautiful mutualism of rural Pannonian lifestyle with Austro-Hungarian metropolitan influences, especially visible if you find yourself in Slavonia’s yet undiscovered capital Osijek. The mountainous regions of Gorski Kotar and Lika are the perfect getaways for all those who want to escape the urban environment and enjoy blissful natural landmarks and find inner peace within numerous mountains, forests, and clean air.

The world-famous Adriatic seaside stretches from Istria on the North, a place of exclusive cuisine containing famous Istrian truffles and wines, through beautiful Dalmatia, region of Roman emperors, the cradle of European literature and amazing cultural heritage, to the very South where lies Dubrovnik, a city so breathtaking that it served as King’s Landing in Game of Thrones.

Does Croatia sound too good to be true? Well, in that case, you should C it for yourself!
