Without a hundred selfies on social media, you haven’t been to Croatia 🙂
What makes each country you visit more beautiful? You! You and your selfies!
Let’s take a selfie tour searching for Croatia’s 20 best selfie spots.
Selfie spots in Croatia
Zagreb – The upper town and a place called the viewpoint – as in the background, you can see the towers of the Zagreb Cathedral and the lower town.
Pula and its Arena, the amphitheater of Emperor Vespasian, and the best-preserved theater after the Roman Colosseum.
Rovinj has been at the very top of the most Instagrammed Croatian cities for years. You have to take photos in at least two locations…The Mediterraneo bar and next to the popular Fumica, as the people of Rovinj affectionately call their church St. Euphemia.
Motovun – your photo from the walls of that small Istrian town on the top of the hill when the Mirna valley stretches behind you…You have to take a selfie there!
It’s a MUST!
Zadar’s walls may not be your first choice – but – to listen to the world’s largest sea organ and enjoy one of the most beautiful sunsets – you certainly won’t miss. Be careful – it won’t be easy to photograph – but try hard – and at least three photos will look excellent. I know from my experience. In Zadar, apart from the inimitable beauty of the city and its squares and buildings, the famous fantastic installation and its light effects;
Salutation to the sun – waits for you.
Let’s go to Šibenik, up to the fortress of St. Mihovil, with an incredible view—the perfect selfie spot. The only thing missing is You!
When you’re in Šibenik, take a selfie in front of the cathedral of St. Jakob. It’s on the UNESCO-protected list and dates back to the beginning of the 15th century!
So – a photo is mandatory!
More spots for nature lovers
Plitvice Lakes are a must-see in Croatia. If you haven’t taken a picture under the big waterfall on the Plitvice Lakes – then it’s as if you haven’t even been 🙁
In Krka national park, you can take a selfie every 10 meters, but I know you will take a photo when the background of your selfie is Skradinski buk.
In the past, swimming was allowed there, but now you can only take pictures. Do it!
Split. Split. Split.
When the ancient Roman emperor Diocletian came to Split – he stayed and built his summer residence there.
You better get ready for amazing selfies; in front of Diocletian’s palace – dating from the 3rd century – where people still live. Today!
Of course, take a selfie in front of the beautiful and oldest European cathedral of Saint Domnius.
But – in Split, you must take a selfie on The Riva (a waterfront promenade) with all its bars and restaurants- to let know that you are in Split.
We’re going to Hvar
Climb Fortica, the fortress above the town of Hvar, and take a selfie. With some selfie skills, you can have the beautiful Hvar Bay and the Paklenski Islands sparkle way behind. All your friends will be jealous 🙂 Trust me.
Hvar is the most famous Croatian place for good summer parties and after-beach parties. You know what to do 🙂 Go for it. Partying on Hvar is remembered for years.
A Skywalk
There are so many fantastic places for a selfie – but let’s go to one that has only been around for a few years and has already gone all over social media; Skywalk Biokovo; Glass-floored, horseshoe-shaped viewing deck on a mountain ridge with panoramic sea views.
Dubrovnik riviera
Your Instagram profile has been waiting for Dubrovnik!
Why Instagram? No need to answer that question – or maybe just to count the spots here in this beautiful walled city on the south of the Adriatic.
What should be the first, with one of two city gates behind, or the Old town port? It’s up to you.
In Dubrovnik, you’ll climb the city walls and take ‘the selfie of your holiday.’ Take care and don’t band over the walls. Suppose you search for a bird’s perspective. In that case, you should go with the cable car on the Srđ hill, and you’ll have the entire riviera with Elaphiti islands on your future most liked selfie.
Go 2 Croatia and remember to ad #croatia2go.
